He among you without sin, cast the first stone.

June 27, 2008

Intro:
Where does all the blood shed and violence come from?

Is it from original sin?

If so then why is it the ‘wise’ and those who are ‘born again’, (those who have been forgiven), the ones who typically carry out crimes against humanity…from the beginning of time up until this modern age - and with any indicators from history…will continue to do so until the end of time.

Not born again:
“Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven - only those who do the will of my Father.”

And what is this will?
“Love your neighbor as yourself and Love the Lord with all your heart.”

First and foremost, many people, from all walks of faith, do not carry out these great commandments…and its no wonder, they have yet to learn to love themselves.
Despite a clear definition for them in their Holy books - they seem unable to grasp the very concept of what Love is.

wolf leading the sheep:
The few who lead, shepherd the sheep in a way that they do not want to go, but they follow blindly, ever so foolishly, not searching for themselves to see if what the shepherd says is true.

“The Sheep know my voice” - unfortunately, many of the sheep appear to heed the call of another master. The entity which possess all of mankind - the ego.
(The false self, if that floats your boat. The term matters not, the word is a pointer to something beyond itself - let us not get bogged down in semantics.)

Evolution of the soul:
Those who are being led are a fierce group, and those that lead do so with ever so much caution.
Step by step, and layer by layer the masses have to be conditioned and trained for the next step.
Any fast move and the sheep will grow fangs and ‘bite the hand that feeds it’.

We do not realize the savageness of our own mini egos, which are part of the bigger collective ego - or in better terms, this ego makes what one can call a pain body.

The question no longer becomes, necessarily, is the shepherds intent good or bad - but what is the sheeps intent? It calls that it is in surrender, but in reality it loves to be lead by someone/something…as long as it does not have to take any remote responsibility for its own actions. God forbid that they recognize that they are part of the ‘body of Christ’ and to what it actually means. (Funny how people take the Bible for face value until they get to items they dont understand or are told to believe differently about.)

Moving forward:
This is not an anti religion post.
“God makes His rain to fall on the good and the bad” despite what the zealots may think. ;)

This is more about the state of humankind…lets call it the fallen state.
Their evolution is slow and at each stage they fight and fend for their rights and the right to impose their will on others through all sorts of violence… that is, if at first, their subtle smiles and lies falter and are of no use to persuade.

Secularist or Religious…it matters not - people are all in the same boat until truly saved, and this is why we have the issues we face today. I would say probably pretty few really have jumped into the waters all the way to be baptized, as it were, to cross out on the other side to see what life is all about. - I know, it sounds rough. But we are all where we are meant to be at, and we will all wind up where we were meant to be. (Sounds a bit predestination like, I know…but its a good pointer to use for now.)

The wheat and the chaff:
You know the story…let the weed and wheat (whatever it was) grow up next to each other.
There is many similarities, and you dont want to harvest to early because you want to get all of the harvest.

No Im not a farmer, nor do I play one on t.v. ;)
But lets look at it. Life is a journey, and not all have come to the point where they can comfortably say, “dude…I got it.” (and this isnt about a mental ‘i got it either’.)

You can have to people with what appears to be the exact same goal - but with extremely different motives…and an extremely different point of view. So much so that even though the end goal may seem the same, once you get their, at one you will find heaven, and the other will lead you into the flames of hell, as it were.

Again, I emphasis this is not going against religion…Im trying to hit on some different points without going directly into them - sure the point may be missed to some degree or even overlooked completely, and even taken the ‘wrong way.’

But the reality is simply that one must figure this stuff out for themselves, and as I have mentioned no one can convince another of anything…nor is their anything you can truly teach that is unique unto yourself. (meaning no one has the copyright on truth.)

Conclusion:
This post is now coming to a close, again, what I wanted to say really is lost.
I feel that I have been unable to communicate my thoughts in a manner that clearly reflect what Im thinking.

Sure I could do bullet points, but with details comes the, “Ah, I know this…” and the box is put around the idea and quickly closed and labeled. I suppose, and the reason I write the way I do, is in hopes that people begin to get stuck…and are unable to wrap what I say in a nice box.

Of course at first it looks like it may fit into one or two boxes nicely, but then there is the point in which the reader is faced with the fact that the writer, (myself), is pointing to something beyond what is being said…and its left to them to go and figure it out or see how it may incorporate into some thoughts that they may have had.

And that is the beauty, what I say may take on a meaning of its own to someone else, which I totally did not mean for it to have - and it will help them. True help usually comes when we are not sitting around trying. It comes out of our broken words which we stumble around to get something a bit coherent out with.

I may go into more, later, on the subject I have in mind…its something I have been pondering a lot.
Its really a multi faceted topic which I suppose I figured I would try to tackle in a quick writing a midnight…so there you go, no wonder if it doesnt come out the way I wish it would. ;)

Again, perhaps more later.

River of Fire

June 24, 2008

This is an interesting excerpt, that meant a lot to me when it was shared by a friend who worked with me at In Touch Ministries.

Its about the ‘true’ nature of hell. And its written by an Orthodox Christian (older than Catholicism, the faith, not the text)

Its a view on hell, I had never heard before…it was ‘unorthodox’. ;-)

Enjoy: Peace - dAlen

Excerpt from: The River of Fire
By: Alexandre Kalomiros

God is a loving fire, and He is a loving fire for all: good or bad. There is, however, a great difference in the way people receive this loving fire of God. Saint Basil says that “the sword of fire was placed at the gate of paradise to guard the approach to the tree of life; it was terrible and burning toward infidels, but kindly accessible toward the faithful, bringing to them the light of day.” The same loving fire brings the day to those who respond to love with love, and burns those who respond to love with hatred.
Paradise and hell are one and the same River of God, a loving fire which embraces and covers all with the same beneficial will, without any difference or discrimination. The same vivifying water is life eternal for the faithful and death eternal for the infidels; for the first it is their element of life, for the second it is the instrument of their eternal suffocation; paradise for the one is hell for the other. Do not consider this strange. The son who loves his father will feel happy in his father’s arms, but if he does not love him, his father’s loving embrace will be a torment to him. This also is why when we love the man who hates us, it is likened to pouring lighted coals and hot embers on his head.
“I say,” writes Saint Isaac the Syrian, “that those who are suffering in hell, are suffering in being scourged by love…. It is totally false to think that the sinners in hell are deprived of God’s love. Love is a child of the knowledge of truth, and is unquestionably given commonly to all. But love’s power acts in two ways: it torments sinners, while at the same time it delights those who have lived in accord with it” (Homily 84).
God is love. If we really believe this truth, we know that God never hates, never punishes, never takes vengeance. As Abba Ammonas says, “Love never hates anyone, never reproves anyone, never condemns anyone, never grieves anyone, never abhors anyone, neither faithful nor infidel nor stranger nor sinner nor fornicator, nor anyone impure, but instead it is precisely sinners, and weak and negligent souls that it loves more, and feels pain for them and grieves and laments, and it feels sympathy for the wicked and sinners, more than for the good, imitating Christ Who called sinners, and ate and drank with them. For this reason, showing what real love is, He taught saying, ‘Become good and merciful like your Father in Heaven,’ and as He rains on bad and good and makes the sun to rise on just and unjust alike, so also is the one who has real love, and has compassion, and prays for all.”

In the new eternal life, God will be everything to His creatures, not only to the good but also to the wicked, not only to those who love Him, but likewise to those who hate Him. But how will those who hate Him endure to have everything from the hands of Him Whom they detest? Oh, what an eternal torment is this, what an eternal fire, what a gnashing of teeth!
Depart from Me, ye cursed, into the everlasting inner fire of hatred,” 47 saith the Lord, because I was thirsty for your love and you did not give it to Me, I was hungry for your blessedness and you did not offer it to Me, I was imprisoned in My human nature and you did not come to visit Me in My church; you are free to go where your wicked desire wishes, away from Me, in the torturing hatred of your hearts which is foreign to My loving heart which knows no hatred for anyone. Depart freely from love to the everlasting torture of hate, unknown and foreign to Me and to those who are with Me, but prepared by freedom for the devil, from the days I created My free, rational creatures.
(NOTE: MY FAVORITE PART)
But wherever you go in the darkness of your hating hearts, My love will follow you like a river of fire, because no matter what your heart has chosen, you are and you will eternally continue to be, My children.

Amen.

Observations on Life and why people just don’t ‘work’

June 22, 2008

Intro
You know, it seems a lot of the mysterious pieces,(of the puzzle of life), are starting to come together to form a recognizable picture for me. - At least in regards to what it means to be human and why we really are so dysfunctional.

The desire for change:
We hear it constantly it seems with the ‘08 presidential elections around the corner.
The slogan for Obama’s campaign: ‘Change you can believe in’.

Even before the presidential elections it has been rooted in the very essence of humans to better themselves and to seek out a higher good and to ‘change’. - at least that is the perception of how things ought to be by the masses of us. I suppose its that small evolutionary seed in us which tries to help us to evolve and get to the next level…that which we would call enlightenment.

But dont be confused, at the end of enlightenment is yet another phase of enlightenment to be reached. Enlightenment is merely one stage in the process of evolution to the other, albeit a quite a big shift indeed.

It would make it seem that there is always to be worthy of striving for or seeking for, and even logic would seem to dictate that all things must be done for the higher good, there must be some purpose to go forward.

Ironically it is this very thing which tends to hold us back.
Yet in a way it could be evolutions way of weeding out those which are not strong enough to move on to the next level of evolution, per say. (And Im sorry if your Christian and are getting stuck in the terms I am using…I can only point to the door with words, but you must open it to see past the words to that which they are pointing.)

So in the end, in our wanting to see change, we go about trying to change others.

Forcing change on others:
True change, and the only kind that really matters, cannot be forced.
This is great, if you are one of the few to make it to the end for the next cycle of growth/development and realize this…but for those stuck in the endless game of ‘chase’ it is not comforting at all.

But dont despair, as the good book says, ‘even in sheol/hell I am there’.
In reality it is saying even in the midst of your sufferings, salvation is at hand.
The suffering is a tool for the means of your salvation, albeit its not by any means a requirement.
And we all can see that indeed many suffer an never go beyond the borders to cross over to the other side of enlightenment.

That which holds them back is one thing: FEAR.

So what happens in fear is that we begin to enslave others to our way of thinking.
We want to drag them down our path to suffer that which we toil with.
Like the old saying goes, “misery love company” - or should we say that ego (or rather the egos pain body) loves to feed off and enhance its (false) identity through misery.

Religions role:
Religion is neither good or bad, it is a tool like anything else - it is merely what you make it.
For many it is a tool used to propagate ones own agenda, which hasnt even born fruit within ones own life.

Its a means to make others conform to something - as conforming to nothing is short of being heretical. It is scary to the ego or to the false self which only feels comfortable when it feels it is in control and knows.

One look at the infiniteness of the universe would bring to light the reality of the saying that “Gods ways are not our ways, nor his thoughts our thoughts” - for who indeed is man that God looks upon him?

Our little means for control are indeed quite laughable.
But this laughter quickly subsides when one dwells in the midst of fools. (I being a fool myself.) ;)
You all to quickly begin to realize the pain that these innocent people not only plague others with…even killing in the name of some unknown God…but the tortures they bring upon themselves which drive them to this insanity.

Insanity on different levels:
Let us look at life as one.
We are all insane.

Does this make you nervous?
Doe this vary thought make you wont to revolt? “I am NOT insane” I can hear your cry.

Right there, the ego is feeling threatened…it fears its death…its loss of control.

What it does not know is that nothing can grow until death occurs.
A peach seed will never grow into a peach tree, baring much fruit, unless it dies to itself.

Yes, I know, this is beautiful symbolism, but rarely is it practical.
Its not practical because we always set a goal outside of ourselves to reach in a future moment that will never come to you…except in the form of the present moment.

“Ah, the power of Now”, I hear you sigh.
“A load of rubbish”, you may say, or “just not for me now”, or “I cant make it work”.

Thats because it does not serve the purpose of your master, the ego.
That entity which possesses you and claims to be you…a.k.a. your obsessive thinking.
Can you go one day…one hour…even one minute and silent your mind?

Can you observe the beauty around you and truly be aware and awake and feel the liveliness of life without bringing in a flow of words?

Now you see the issue, its more comfortable to live in the horses stable than to move out and move into the mansion down the road. “After all”, the mind will say, “maybe its not all that good after all…Ill try it out tomorrow…etc.”

I used to be a thought pusher:
Many of you reading this know by now that I used to be one of these though pushers.
I was a Christian evangelical missionary for a couple of years and my whole life revolved around the Bible.

Luckily it was around the Bible and not around dogma or I would have been stuck in a cesspool of my own ignorance. ;)
The phrase, “seek and you will find, when you search with all your heart” is a phrase that is like gold…many are afraid to search with ‘all their heart’ and stay within the cesspools of dogma and doctrine. ;)

In all my time, I have come to realize you cannot convert anyone to anything.
If someone does convert than it is an ego taking on an even bigger egoic story which will then make them “twice the son of hell” that Jesus talked about when he chatted to the Jewish missionaries. (Pharisees.) - I have an article title “twice the son of hell” take a look, it will give some more insight into what Im talking about here.

But you know, its not just religion that we find this type of thought pusher…its throughout all of society. The ego has a monopoly on this world and its in its interest to keep people back from reaching the next level of evolution as it spells the death to an era - the era of the ego.
(Which started back at the garden of eden with Adam and Eve and the tree of knowledge.)

Small city thinking:
It has become so evident that this is the case as I sit back and watch the little busy ants around me in this small city.

As fate would have it, each small city are collections of small egos which form to create a tribal identity. And in this growing world we are now trying to merge to create one global mass identity, but it is indeed a difficult task and a feat unto itself.

In short the ego would appear to be in the process of trying to evolve itself so that it wont have to be eliminated to give birth to the next phase, or in some strange way, be a part of the next phase itself.

While this is all and good, I doubt that the ego will ever reach the fullest potential that it could, if it would just surrender and die. Again, nothing wants to die.
But the fruit that comes from one seed is quite the miracle in and of itself…only if the ego (the seed) could see to what would become of it in full surrender.

This parallels much of the Christian teachings does it not?
These are teachings that are in the very heart of each of one of Gods creatures.
The very universe has planted a seed within us that knows this truth, but its a path that we have to choose to follow.

In the end, the universe will have its way and the next step in evolution will take place.
For all of the egos trying, it will eventually destroy itself. The ego is clever, but not intelligent.
Again, for more on this, listen to the audio book, “A New Earth” by Eckhart”.

However, it is just amazing how how tight nit the egos of individuals are… especially in smaller towns. Clinging so much to something that would make it larger than itself. It really is a very sad and pathetic thing to watch. Its like watching a wounded dog suffering and you wish you could put it out of its misery.

Conclusion:
Does this sound like a harsh comparison?
If you begin to observe in yourself many of the things which you cling to - and begin to realize how silly all of it is, I think you will begin to see to that which I point. And as you do, you will see how this whole planet would appear, (from one in space), to be infested by some kind of disease.

In reality, the planet is fine, but this planet is a place of learning, a place of growth, and most of it through pain. Again, the pain is not out of necessity, but out of our own ignorance.

I cannot tell you what to believe…nor would I even try.
There is nothing for me to gain in having won a group of disciples over to some new belief system.
Is this not the very thing I have been saying is holding everyone back.

There is no way to awaken anyones eyes, as it is their choice as to when and where they awaken…if at all. This realization would end all missionary efforts in a heart beat. Well, one may say that there would be some remanence of it…after all, even though I am not trying to change anyones belief system…nor do I believe I can…I still am talking.

What is that about if its not some sort of missionary type effort?
Well first there is no effort. Its what I think, and I enjoy writing for my own amusement.
Life is the dancer and we are the dance.

Secondly, whatever I say will only awaken that which was already ‘predestined’ to awaken in you to begin with. (No, Im not presbyterian, though there is some merit in their teachings…as there is with other teachings.)

So to wrap up…wouldnt it be nice if we could just ditch the silly games and expectations we put on one another? Allow someone to be whoever they are. (And yes that means my allowing people to have their games, I know an irony it seems, but none-the-less.)

You know what this is called? Its called love - its all about acceptance.
Does not mean you can not bring about inner change for yourself or even outer change.
But it does mean you respect the choices of others to make direct decisions about their own lifes journey.

When we do that we will be fulfilling the greatest commandment of all.
“Love the Lord with all your heart” because we will have learned to “love our neighbors as ourselves.”

Notice the need to love oneself.

Peace

The “Story” - Forgiving those who offend/hurt you

May 28, 2008

Intro:
At a certain point in life, you may come across the realization that all the problems in the world are but stories.

Can it be that simple?

Not only can it be that simple - the crazy thing is that it is that simple.

When two people meet they are not meeting each other…they are meeting each others stories of each other. What is ‘worse’ is that they are meeting each others stories that they feel the other has concerning them as well. (Its like a four way conversation between two people with the real people being absent.)

In a sense, its as if all of humanity is ‘possessed’.

Sure you probably have heard of demon possession - whether it be from your religious upbringing, or if it be some sci-fi horror movie that planted the idea.

The reality is that the far out and strange (fiction) is closer to reality than one knows.
For the most part we are handed allegories and metaphors for what is true knowledge.
We take these allegories and metaphors to be the truth or the exact representation of what is happening - and fail to see to where they are pointing too.

Even more so, we encase these ideas and turn them into beliefs…an us vs. them, and we get stuck within our dogma…within our fears. (Much of religion is like this, but outside of religion as well - anyone who identifies with their thoughts is included in this.)

For the most part, I view it as part of evolution.
The above term will throw many off as the very word clicks something in their brain and shuts it down from any rational thinking. They mistake the baggage that typically comes with such a word as the true meaning of the word.

Words are pointers my dear friends - christian, atheist, whoever and whomever you are…from whatever walk of life you transpire from. ;)
We are all one and the same, we all come from the same source - regardless of the name you give this source.
“I am that I am” does not need a definition - nor can it be defined…the defining is the ‘idol’ one would think…or rather limiting the soul and encasing it into flesh. Go chew on that idea for awhile. - Hint, look in Judaism for the answer * or Christianity, but you may not be able to see past your own dogma this way, though it is possible. ;)

We all have mental concepts of how things should or should not be.
Who we think someone should or should not be.
How we think someone should or should not act.
All these should and should nots.

The ability to look at someone and allow them to ‘be’ is indeed not only an art - but an extreme act of maturity.

Yes you can guide someone - but do not mistake this guidance as superiority, you can only guide as far as they are willing. (Well, I suppose unless you are a zen master who beats the truth into them…but surprisingly the human will is quite resilient and true change has to start from within.)

Forgiveness is key in order to make this work, in your own life, so that the other has space in their own life to change.

Forgiveness is looking past the man made self identity someone creates about themselves.
i.e.
- the sufferer
- the martial artist
- the beauty queen
- the ugly
- the this, the that…

All of this is something that we take quite seriously and we would feel like we were stripped naked if someone would say that “you being a doctor, etc., isnt all that it is cracked up to be.”
We readily, and steadily identify with what we do. After all who are we if its not what our actions our?

But can we see clear enough to know what our actions are?
The trick is that people see us better than we see ourselves at times.
(Well on one level - the egoic, and again, its all form and perspective. The true self is known by no other than you. Think of that white stone in revelation. Something else to ponder…but again, look beyond the centuries of metaphors and into how it applies into real, every day situations. If you dont see it - dont sweat, find something else…look for meaning where it is - here and now, in your own life.)

Meaning is not to be found outside of your own life or in some future moment.
Here again is the trick, once you reach a goal - its all down hill from there.
What will be the next thing you do once you achieve world fame or win 13 oscars?

Your movies are soon forgotten, even if talked about, they are shoved on some shelf collecting dust in the corner - to be outdone in technology in only a year or two. And the next generation will do their retake on what seemed to be the ultimate saga of all time. (i.e., Lord of the Rings, etc.)

Many people drag out their achievements till their dying day. (Star wars anyone?) Not picking on Lucas - but often we do not know how to carry on. We have defined, and thus limited ourselves by our own actions and perceptions of who we are.

As I have pointed out a many time - Jesus never saw a prostitute or tax collector.
He saw John Doe, or Jane Doe for who they were. A living, breathing person…and at the time he saw them they were probably not in the act of ’sin’, as they put it - and therefore were not the sinner.

Point being is Jesus did not identify people with their actions from the past.
He looked past it to who they are. This is salvation. (for some of you it is heretical, but ponder and think on it, and dont get lost in the words.)

The fact that he could allow someone to be who they were, without judgement (which is actually a commandment that we not only readily disobey, but find excuses why what we are doing is justified or not judgement…)

So Jesus saw the person and this is what let them break free.
They realized they had choice - they were not their stories and therefore did not carry the burden of guilt and worry that so many people take with them to their grave.

“Im an alcoholic” - well, if you say so…then dont be surprised that your life will be focused around the struggles that come with this one statement.

People really are at a baby stage. Its as if the world is going through labour pains, as Jesus put it, and there is a 50/50 chance of us moving on to the next level - or as M. Kaku put it, time to move on to a level 1 civilization…the hardest transition to make, will we survive?

I am voting with confidence that we will. :)

You only take out of a story that which you put into it.
Is someone not treating you nice, or unfairly? Then try to treat them how you would want to be treated. Yes, I know Jesus said this and it seems impractical, but listen to this…

…if you actually know, and believe, that the truth and power is within (and has been all along) then you no longer give your power away to people. You now make what I would call conscious choices, and are able to look past their stories to them - even if they are not yet able to.

in doing this you transform not only yourself, but allow for a transformation in them.
If they take this, is really up to them - but you will often see ‘little miracles’ happen, so to speak, that will reinforce the view that indeed they have no power over you. ;)

You find these struggles mainly in close relationships.
I am reminded of Michael Cards song where he says, “Only a friend comes close enough to cause so much pain.”

The truth in this is simply that in close relationships the ego feeds more.
Stories, or pain bodies, know your weak point and how to feed off of you.
Much like a vampire syphoning off blood from his prey - the pain body feeds off of negativity.

Have you noticed with anyone that no matter what you say it is always wrong.
Perhaps you have noticed that a particular person close to you always complains - this is the pain body trying to feed. It does not want a solution…your arguing is fueling it.

If it, the pain body, wanted a solution, then it would chat with you and it would end.
But as you notice, complaining keeps going until you are dragged in it one way or another and it stops once it has had its fill and goes dormant again.

Sounds like being possessed doesnt it?
The pain body is an energy field. Is this a bit new agey for you?
The fact is this is science, we all are made up of energy - see its easy to get lost in words and what we think they mean.

Words, again, go through filters that were created by the though patterns pushed upon us by our milieu. (Religious, social, etc.)

With limited experience, we see the world in a limited way.
This is why all small cities around the world are like a pain in the arse to live in. ;)
The city has its collective knowledge and thats as far as it goes - anything outside of that is met with scrutiny.

This scrutiny is not for learning, but more of a checks and balance to keep its little story alive - the one that feels so threatened because it knows there is more outside of itself. So this small town mentality, can be the hardest.

When you have a cultural mix, you can learn to open up your mind to see a broader picture - yet it still is not the full picture. With hope it is that you will be able to begin to have humility to see that the world is diverse, and that there is enough room for all of us here. Even for the small town people - there is a time and a place for everything under heaven. (ol’ wise solomon.) ;)

Consider that the people who gossip about you, etc. do so out of their own fears and insecurities that they are not loved or lovable. There stories are there to protect them, it is all they know.
When you show true unconditional love the wall some tumbling down - and in truth, it may seem like it never does, but the fact is the walls Im referring to are within yourself.

We can spend our whole life with someone, mom/dad - brother/sister - spouce/friend - son/daughter, etc. and think we know them - but all we have is what we know about them.
The stories that they have created, and even more the stories that we have created about them.
Usually the two stories are at odds, as mentioned in the opening of this little spiel of mine.

Sometimes its easier just to move on.
Some people try to suppress their feelings - others become their feelings.
The balance is to acknowledge its there and watch it. This may sound weird, but when you realize that the thoughts buzzing in your head are not who you are - that you are free to make a choice at will, and you are not ‘judged’ for these thoughts - you become free to make more conscious choices and to let the stories that no longer suite you die off.

I was chatting with my partner today about a thought I had recently.
With what Im about to say there is a lesson to be learned on a few levels here, so watch carefully and pay attention as a lot of what I have already talked about can fit into this scenario at different levels (I only say this, as we are not accustomed to looking at different angles/aspects of a dialogue - and its good to do so, especially seeing that it is hard to cover every aspect that one would like to cover with just one example)

So here it is.

Scientology.
- No I am not promoting scientology, nor am I here promoting anything that requires you to add to a belief system. For me its time to go past gathering beliefs and time to start having some principles applied to our lives. ;)

But here is the point.
In Scientology I remember hearing that they give letters of separation - i.e., to parents.
The parents would get freaked out and think that their kids joined a cult that brain washed them…after all, separating from your parents and asking them to never talk to you again is unheard of.

I would like to touch on one aspect of this which is as follows:
It is obvious that the parents (a.k.a. - for the most part - the ego unacknowledged) could not conceive that perhaps it is a conscious choice on their childrens part.

After all, at a certain time and place, when a person realizes that ’stories’ no longer suite them - the egoic stories of complaining which bring no solutions - then it is quite conceivable that they no longer desire to partake and have anything to do with that which is not constructive.

This is not belittling the parents - but it is giving the child their freedom to act and think in a way which is constructive to them…minus the drama that a lot of families have.

Now I know this may be a sensitive topic, and the point I am trying to outline may easily be passed over…or completely misunderstood.

This is not to insinuate that the kid is presiding in judgment over their parents…no, it means that they realize that the drama that constantly comes up is not really their parents…its a conditioned mind/thought pattern that the parents take to be them.

At a certain point, the parent must realize that they must let the child make their own choices.
They are only really there to give protection at the beginning and to serve as a guide - not to live their life though them, etc.

Many family relations are strained because of this identification with form. (When i say form, this includes thought as well.)

What I have to say cannot really be summed up in one blog. This is really only to light the fire, as it were. I would highly recommend anyone to pick up Eckhart Tolles audio book “A New Earth” and take a good listen. “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind”.

There is a new day and age coming…and its now.
Time to throw off the labels and the ‘chains that bind’. - namely fear.
And as I have mentioned time and again, it is a amazing - for the most part - that the Christian motto is to fear. (This is by the fruit…for as the good book said, “By the fruit you will know them.”)

There is much I could say about Christianity, and much I have said.
I am not a Christian basher - if you were to throw a label around I would say I am a Christian as Jesus mean it to be. ;)
…oh, no ideas of perfectionism, etc. If you think that then you did not catch one thing from my post here. :)

In conclusion - its time to go past beliefs, adding this or that to your line up of beliefs.
Its time to see some fruit. I see it in my own life, and I only say that as a word of encouragement. I see that there is life in life. - Imagine the irony in this. ;)

Many talk of living a life abundantly, but fail to see the simple path and take the wide path instead that is more torturous to walk. But in our pain in suffering, if we go into it deep enough, we will come out cleansed. - and no this is not the way of the masochist I am referring to. ;)

In life, we are quite content to stay in a buzzed state of displeasure without making change.
The ego/false self - pain body - loves this, and feeds off of it as stated.

Again, for more info, check out Eckhart Tolles “A New Earth.”
On a note: not everyone will take away the same thing from the same source as another.
Again, we all have our own grid systems and perspectives (understanding) of life. The journey is yours…the journey is unique. - I really am but a traveller on the road of life saying “Hello”.

If this little blog of mine helps to act as a light in this darkness, then I am more than glad.
But it wont be because of my subtle cleverness or way with words…it will be because this is the path you already have chosen. “When the student is ready the teacher approaches”. Basically you get the info you need at the time you are ready for it…and you digest it at different levels in the times you are ready to digest it.

Life is good - enjoy!

Peace

p.s.
I forgot, I had mentioned that I thought this is all a natural part of evolution.
Basically the universe, if you can put it that way, wants to evolve into consciousness - past all of the silly identification with mental thoughts and mind projections of what it thinks about others, etc.

You can be part of the process or get spit out as waste.
Reminds me of the story in Revelations where God said he would “spit” some folks out of his mouth. ;)

You either grow or evolve, or become irrelevant.
Now, I dont mean this to strike a note of fear in some of you…for some it might because you have been conditioned to be afraid - of everything. First thing I can say to you is, “dont worry - relax” - “you are loved… unconditionally” :)

Rowling on the defense again. {lessons of ego}

May 27, 2008

Intro:
BBC Article

I dont get it, well I do, but lets have a look at it.

When you come up with an idea, its in free space.
She owns Harry Potter no more than I do. If we are truly all connected, then all this “you are viloating my rights” is really kind of schizophrenic - as there is not you.

For most this concept is out there…so I will say yes I think there is a place for someone, like Rowling, to make money off of her work - but to what degree is it hers. This can be looked at, perhaps with more ease, by taking a look at the music industry.

Wired:
I read an article, forgot source, I think it was wired, that basically said that the music companies claim an eternal ownership of promo cds, If I understood the article correctly, and that you dont have the right to throw them away, etc.

Yep, it was an article from Wired.

This stuff is really summed up with one word, “Insane”.

With Rowling it appears that she had approved of an online encyclopedia of the Harry Potter World - well approved in that it did not seem to bother her. But when the person wanted to take the info and make a book out of it…oh my, it “infringes on my rights…” - well she did want to right a book and this may affect sales, although she claims money is not the issue.

I believe her.
I think she is so attached to Harry Potter…that she is not quite seeing clearly.

Im not trying to be rude, so let me put it another way.
Parents when they give birth can be not only over protective, but they can tend to act as if they ‘own the child’. They were the vessel in which the child came into the world, and they are the means in how that child will be raised and the environment in which they will learn and grow up…but they dont own the kid.

But actions, way into the adult life of the kid, shows that they indeed take that stance, even if unconsciously, that they somehow ‘own’ (for lack of better terms) the child.

The child is its own:
Once something is birthed its now its own.
In the case of Harry Potter, how I approach Harry is not necessarily how she approaches it.
She was amazed how so many people liked snape, back when she tried her best to paint him black…well first they liked the actor and that played a role in how they perceived snape.

Just like a child, she had not control how the audience perceived her work, her creation.

The story is what the individual makes of it:
Truth is, she is not that great of a writer. (Well, dont get me wrong, Im not even claiming to be a writer). I find that the beauty of her work is what I take into it when reading it, and what I get from the movies created by the producers/directors and again my perception of it.

I will say it again, because the point is simple, though I dont feel I can properly get it out the way I would like. And that is, once the idea is birthed, its owned by the collective.

Funny, there is a movie called “Troll”, I believe made in 1986, which had the main character, if Im not mistaken, whose name was also Harry Potter (Jr.)
This is pre-Rowling, and now the guy wants to remake the movie.

Sure you could argue to ride off of the J.K. Rowling Harry Potter success, but I dont think that alone would do enough to drive it.

Another Harry…pre-Rowling Potter. ;)
Warner has either threatened to or is suing him if he goes forward with making the remake, saying they will stick to their claims to Harry Potter.

Well, hate to say it, but no one owns the name Harry Potter.
Its a name for crying out loud!

Now J.K. Rowling claimed she never read “Troll” (but did she know of it?)…
You know, when there is an idea, it usually pops up somewhere across the world.
I remember as a kid coming up with the wackiest name, “whatcha-ma-call-it” and then not long after they made a candy bar with that name. Now my mom was convinced I had just saw the commercial and forgotten.

100 Monkeys:
But lets look at the 100 monkeys.
What is it…I believe the concept is that after a certain point, say 100 monkeys learn something new, all of a sudden all the other monkeys already know it.

Forget about the 100 monkeys, I have seen quite a few times where one idea would pop up in a country in science, and supposedly it was secret, and then they find out that another country found the same thing…and then they are amazed.

Im telling you, and you dont have to believe me, but there is something to this quantum entanglement.

Conclusion:
But what does this have to do…or rather, how does this solve Ms. Rowling woes?
Well it doesnt, until she realizes that she needs to let the bird fly…its a gift to the world and she is not going to ‘miss’ anything.

The fear is there and it ends up running a persons life.
As she claims she has lost inspiration to write a Harry Potter Encyclopedia now, and has stopped writing some other book she had started due to this issue bothering her.

See, her life, is now being wasted, so to speak, because she is living with some tight identity around something that does not really belong to her. Again, if I have not made my point clear above in what I mean, then this will be taken the normal way that the mind sees things, such as, “well it is hers because…” but anyway…

Attachment to form, this includes thought form, is ego - and it doesnt really help anyone get anywhere. If she would let it go then the universe would take care of the situation, and perhaps she would see/realize that there is no situation to be taken care of.

Peace

Monsanto {Documentary}

May 27, 2008

Intro:
There is much that could be said about this, but I will let you watch the video for yourself.
Its quite long, so pull back a chair, get something to drink and munch on and relax.

If you find it a bit dry at first it will pick up toward the end when they start talking about India & Mexicos corn, etc. The first part gives you more of a background into the company itself.

When you watch the bit about the Mexican corn and how N.A.F.T.A. affects this, (well with Monsanto, of course), you will be surprised.

Mexico & India:
In fact put that info with the fact that in India they (farmers) have to buy cotton seed basically from only Monsanto - as Monsanto has bought up most, if not all, of the major seed suppliers to farmers - not only do they have to buy this seed that grows with pesticide genetically engineered into it…(Im not against science or genetic engineering, but chemicals, pesticides in the plant? Science is a tool only…neither good nor bad. It is only that which the hand that wield it cause it to be. And in my view point, Monsanto is on the ‘bad’ path. My thought would be to understand nature & its benefits fully before trying to play god with plants turning colors…potatoes…and plants having pesticides in them…cotton…etc.)

Control: Ownership of the worlds food supply
So as you see, the problem isnt only with what they are selling, but they are owning nature.
You buy their seeds, you cannot collect it for planting for the next year. (This is tradition.) And they are ruthless if they think that you kept the seed for next years harvest. - Again, not that I would ever want to have their seed in my field…fact is many dont, and organic farmers have either come close to, or have been shut down by Monsanto because of these ‘false flags’ saying the organic farmer had Monsantos patented seed on their farm lots. What? Monsanto is the reason they went organic. :)

Revelations:
Ah, where was I?
Anyway, as you watch this video think of Revelations where it says no one “will buy or sell without the mark…” - well, make that “no one will buy or sell except Monsantos seeds”.

This whole fear/greed based mentality needs to come to a halt. It is self-destructive and companies like Monsanto is driving society into a mess. Well, they would like to think into their hands so that they control all that happens and thus retain power. But I see differently, people are waking up to a lot of the non-sense in the world and that type of fear/greed based mentalities time is up. ;)

So without further ado, here is the link:
