Bye! And thanks for Visiting, hope you enjoyed!

June 2, 2009

Intro:
I started this blog awhile back with a few objectives in mind, and I feel that I have accomplished what I set out to do. I have learned quite a bit from the site stats of who comes here to read, as well as the comments that were left, to what was viewed.

Reflection:
Part of this journey was that of self-exploration during a time of one of the biggest ’spiritual’ transitions of my life…one that left a true, lasting, positive effect on me. While this journey started in childhood, it did not begin to kick off and bear fruit until the age of 22. My wife has been both a partner and a catalyst in many regards to where I now find myself…to whom I am forever grateful.

Communication:
Another part of my objective here at WordPress was to learn how to communicate effectively my ideas across a range of cultural/religious milieus…what I have seen and learned in this regard is most telling to be sure. Suffice it to say, watch Oprahs interviews with Eckhart and listen to a man who is a master of this – yet hear how misunderstood he is by those who ask questions. [yet he remains patient in all of this.] Great lessons to be learned in this, but its something you will have to find yourself…the journey is yours – its unique, so enjoy!

Nothing left to say
I spent most of my time blogging in one set time frame, and from there it dropped off.
The fact is I have nothing more to say than what has been said here already. Pointers hitting left and right, and for the creative mind it can help launch them into even deeper speculation. Much of what I say has a lot more weight than words can say upfront, again I leave it for you to do as you wish and see how it fits within your own perspective…what I say and what you interpret it to mean may be two different things. [does this mean we do not agree, alas sometimes both messages can be true...after all there is an absolute truth, and from that its a matter of vantage point and a play in the world of duality and form.]

My blogs were never edited, per say, for the sake of clairty – which even the above will show…but this to has its purpose, even if it is to help people to stretch their minds as to think for itself vs. always being spoon fed answers that then are automatically conformed to their conditioned perspective on life. :)

dAlen Book:
With nothing left to say, I suppose I have enough material for a book. Of course the dilemma is two fold… primarily the tedious job of editing it. If I send it out, I would be weary of how well it keeps the original spontaneity as well as heart of the message. If I do it myself, then we can wait a few life times I suppose. :) [not that anyone is missing anything of importance, as everything I say you either know, or will know if you do the least bit of searching for yourself as to the meaning of life and how it works.]

The other factor is the audience, this blog can be formated in various ways and it occurs to me the best way is to make two different style books from it, which would well fit different venues. [and you just read of my dread above to even editing it once. lol]

Either way, book or no book is not the point…if it is to be done, it will be in its own timing when such inspiration hits – and the time is right. [suppose all books start of like this... a pile of papers you go through, no one who sits down and writes from the beginning ever finishes...you have to write from the heart, as it comes, to keep what life there is in there and then it all comes together at the end.] :)

Conclusion:
If you have enjoyed this blog, I do encourage you to pass on the link to others, let them have a look at it. I have enjoyed every minute that I spent blogging, I suppose overall it was an outlet for my own soul. An online journal of sorts…albeit with a twist in the language to be mindful of how people interpreted what I said as each person uniquely understands what it is set before them.

With this, i say goodbye to you all.
The blog may or may not receive updates, but it will be in a different nature than before – and perhaps under a new name as I try to relaunch my wife and my site in the future. A lot of this may be incorporated there, and anything posted here will not be as much on a personal nature/spiritual, but along the lines of some of my interest as it regards future technology and humanity.

Peace

p.s.
A list of people who either have greatly influenced me, and/or I feel they have had something to contribute to the world which I believe would help others if they caught on to some of the ideas.

- my wife
[for me personally]

- Eckhart Tolles audio books
[you want to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, then a quick pick me up from a self help book aint gonna change anything...you have to rewire those negative thought patterns, etc. - for me it was listening to his audio books for some years actually. This helped to set the focus and keep the focus in the day when we 'forget the self help bit' and our actions show we have forgotten it. To this day I still hear his message at different levels as certain levels crystalize with me. [of note, this was the pointer that worked for me, for others it may be something else.]

- Jesus/Paul
[some may be offended I put this second to Eckhart, but truth is had I never ran into Eckhart I would not have finally had the "ah ha" moment to see past the dogma that had been forced upon me by the church while growing up. Now things Jesus and Paul and the OT says makes crystalline & most of all practical sense.]

- Krishnamurti
[listen to Eckhart, same thing. Though its interesting to know there are more than 1 or two people that get this.]

- Rabbi Tzadok from Kosher Torah
[he greatly helped me to get a better understanding of Jewish beliefs which helped my understanding of Christianity as a whole. No...not what he says about Christianity, he is very biased there...and even his message seems to be obscure, if not contradictory at times...reasons for this I wont go in here, none-the-less his material on Jewish mysticism & torah were a great help.
And while I realize many people have an issue with mysticism, what can I say...go read some of my old blogs about what i have to say concerning this...at least they are trying to experience God...as well as many people are living in a mythos of what they think mysticism is - thats a point again where it shows perspective rules at the end...its all how you take it, so mileage may very.
]

- Pastor Bob Beeman
[I have a great appreciation for my friend who keeps it real in his own search and is authentic in what he believes.]

Thomas Merton & Heneri Nouwen
[Again this is within the framework of "Christian lingo" - but these guys were about experiencing God... and were a great pointer to launch me further along my path - out of my fear and into further "searching with ALL my heart" - With Merton I recommend his book "New Seeds of Contemplation, and I can thank a friend who is 'eastern orthodox' for the pointer of Henri Nowen as well as for a small excerpt on what 'hell' is in a document called the River of fire which I have blogged about here.]

Rebbe Yakov Leib HaKohain
[Dude you rock, but you will be greatly misunderstood...and I know you don't give a "sh-t"! lol
- and you wont mind be uncensored saying so as you try to blow up the boundaries made by religious dogma.
] :)

Carl Jung
[mostly am familiar with his works through Rebbe HaKohain & Rabbi Tzadok.]

Kabbalah Center
[While I may not see eye to eye with some of the pointers used, I appreciate the effort they have put to erase the lines of dogma in the sand between religions/races, and other conceptual and egoic barriers. - This is really what is more important, more so than trying to find the differences...
Also, I thank them for the scholarship I received from them where I received over what I believe was $400 worth of material, and the shipping was about the same due to the weight of the Zohar volumes.]

Neturei Karta
[Jews for Palestinians - sounds like going past the ego to me. - This link takes you to the site, but actually steps back in time and has 10 questions asked by Rabbi Michael Dov Weissmandl... interesting read - open your minds.] ;)

- Michio Kaku
[thanks to seeing that there is a scientist who can communicate great concepts to the masses who would not otherwise get it. Also the fact that he wasnt like Dr. Teller fascinated with 'who gets the bomb first' mentality. As M. Kaku puts it, we have a 50/50 chance of getting to a level 1 society, level 0 being the most dangerous. [with all of our self judgement and judgement to others, he has a point...]

- Aubrey deGrey
[life extension technologies...science - is it playing God? This is a good topic for a blog. lol]

- Ray Kurzweil
[Transhumanist, I use the label loosely like a piece of garment as a pointer, anyway - I like what Im seeing from his vision of the future...mind you, if we dont address the root issue of humanity, the ego, we will blow ourselves up with technology and go extinct.]

- Richard Alpert
[Professor & LSD man, no I have not taken LSD. The guy here has some great insight that we should all ponder... We need to rethink as well the roles societies place on people as well as what law means. [laws are put in place to protect us from ourselves, and are a reflection of where we are at as a society. My view on drugs is somewhat complex at this point...and would take a book of its own to even address - but Im sure it would be similar to Richard Alpert and...]

- Terence Mckenna
[who in the world can say nature is illegal? You have an illegal substance naturally occurring in your body...DMT. Guess that makes us illegal. The funny thing is, governments do treat us that way, as if we are illegal. - but the government is not the issue, they only mirror our unconsciousness. - As old solomon said, there is a time and place for everything under heaven.]

- Zeitgeist movement
[i like the concept, but already it has the issues that Jesus' follower had...misunderstanding the point. The agnostics of the movement have to give space to everyone to be as they are and believe as they wish. As long as it does not cross my path, its of no concern to me. [fear dictates otherwise, but we see, fear puts guns in young mens hands to go kill each other off...while the leaders stay safe in a bunker somewhere under the ground.]

- TED – “Ideas Worth Spreading”
Excellent site, there slogan says it all.

- Thoughtware.tv
Similar to the above…

Last but not least, just check out my blogroll here for more cool links. :)

Who am ‘I’? :)
[read my about page for that] ;)
So, who and what am I? For those who use labels to identify themselves with, I will be the outcast.
I can wear the Christian garb, for at the heart I would say most Christians are not the heart of what being a Christian is…they see, but do not see, hear but do not hear, as Jesus put it. [offended? why is that? is it the “little me” your ego? Truth needs no defense. ;)

I could say transhumanist… but again, all these are just words and do not define who I am.

I tell you who I am, and Ill credit the greatest thinker of all – God.
“I am that I am.” ;)

With that, enough said! – Peace!

What would Jesus do?

May 14, 2009

…dont know, but instead of listening to church doctrine, and the latest Christian trend of thought for the week, perhaps reading and WATCHING the actions of Jesus would say something.

If Jesus were alive today, I bet you he would be crucified again – only the pharisees would be the pastors and the people yelling crucify would be the evangelical Christians.

Jesus didnt fit into religion back then, nor politics, so Im not to sure how he would fit into many of the modern Christians zealous politically motivated views.
Doubt Jesus would worry carry as sign against ‘gays’ or protesting ‘abortion’.

I doubt Jesus would put a label to someone actually, as that creates an identity for them to be stuck in…no love/acceptance, thus no forgiveness which gives the flex room for any change. Just watch his interactions with people minus the modern commentary and your own brain can figure this stuff out – not rocket science, but amazing how we color what we think he did through our beliefs rather than truly watching what happened.

Change you can believe in starts in you and only in you…your not going to change anyone, and if what Im saying makes sense its only because you already knew this stuff – what do I have that you dont have in regards to the truth? Non of us have special access – as the good ol’ book says, “he lets the rain fall on the good in bad.

Reincarnation is in the Bible by the way – and Orthodox Jewish rabbis from now to 2000 years ago believed this – what does this mean, more than you think and a lot less then what you would initially take this to mean.

First figure out why Jesus taught in parables – not to shocking seeing that this is the style of communication in Judaism…the rabbis answering a question with a question. You have to figure this stuff out for yourself, or you will be like a pig and trample it under your feat. ;)

So, seeing that Orthodox Judaism looks at Genesis as a parable, again, why the sticker shock… lines up with how Jesus communicated… and they see it at 4 levels, maybe its time we “search with ALL our hearts”…Jesus said to do so – never said where that may be. You have to be honest with yourself and if its in non kosher places, then so be it – Jesus didnt say seek within the confines of your dogma.

Hey, its all good – “Even in Sheol I am There” – He knows how to take better care of us then we do – we just dont trust, naughty sheep we are…saying one thing so fervently, but literally disobeying about everything Jesus and Paul and God from the OT said… “fear not” “worry not” etc. Yeah, its fine to skip that, right? Well no wonder we are so messed up and creating so many people who are ‘twice the son of hell’

Egoic fanatics creating egoic supermonsters.

Nothing is spelled out here for you, despite how clear, someparts at least, may seem. And this is good…go search – and no, asking your pastor dont count…quite following people who claim to experience God and do it yourself…or you will never know the joys of walking with God. – But that is as it is.

Peace

dAlen

p.s.
Christianity isnt the moral majority…the sinners are going before the pharisees…and in this case, before the pastors and Christians. Really, its time we pick up that book and read it ourselves and think for ourselves outside of the framework of your doctrine you grew up with. If I could wager, I bet you would have been muslim had you grown up in the middle east outside of Israel. ;)

the ‘gods’ of technology & why they are sacrificed

April 27, 2009

Intro:
Here is the all prevailing question, well maybe not, but here it is:
With all the technological and scientific advances that we have, if we were to go back in time, how would we be viewed? – Many think that we would naturally be greeted as ‘gods’ and worshipped by some native civilizations.

But let me suggest it wouldn’t only be native civilizations that would have taken notice – I guarantee you that even ’society’ in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s would have drawn the same conclusion as the natives, albeit in a different manner, and that is simply this: “here is something we must eradicate.”

Brief Interlude:
For a brief moment, allow for what may seem like a bit of pessimism and self criticism.
I’ve been a fool – down right, gullible & naive over the years to have such hope in humanity and its potential for personal/spiritual evolution. My openness & optimism toward people, in general, has not been reciprocal for the most part. – Hang in there, this truly isnt a pitty part…if it were I would bring to the table the smallest violin so we could all play it together! LOL

Even more of a fool have I been for thinking for one moment that I to have not shared in humanities negativity and pessimistic outlook on life. – yes, seemingly contradictory is it not? But not really, we shall see the slight deviation in which one is either stuck in the road or merely going through the mud on their way out. Either way, both people are responsible for their own path, so all judgement is dropped…but for the sake of communication some form of wording must be used as a pointer to get us past what is being said. ;)

In short, and as I always point out, the first step of our evolution as a species, individual, or whatever you want to call it, is the state of being formed by opinions outside of us. Everything is eternal and the input comes and we internalize it as our own…our own beliefs, our own joys, our own hatred and sorrows…and thus a new entity is born from its collective milieu…a new ego has come into the world and takes the stories fed to it, as who it is.

Human Robot:
You could compare us to Robots, and I have done so for fun when talking about Adam and Eve. Really its relative to your understanding of what a robot is. On a base level we could cry insane to anyone daring to say that humans are robots…that is just ludicrous, is it not? After all we have a clear definition of what a robot is, and we do not match up to it by any stretch of the imagination. You would argue that even a baby knows the difference.

Again, we are stuck at the literal level of understanding something, and I will again point out to Jesus and his parables, and the Orthodox Jewish belief that Genesis is told in 4 different levels of understanding – and they point that the fallacy is that many take the first level as literal… i.e., Christians, who ironically got involved in another cultures religion, and to some extent, have missed out on some of the finer points of what is taught due to the cultural barrier. – And while I agree that you do not have to be part of the Jewish culture to get it, the issue is that to much of human, egoic, influence has found its way into the pure teachings and clouded the mind of todays church.

If you need proof, I point you again to the salvation issue amongst the ’split’ church, which is mentioned in other Notes/blogs of mine. After some thought I realized that even that wouldn’t have much affect in helping one to see the point clearly as the root of that issue, as the one just mentioned in the paragraph above is simply this: Fear.

Fear as our interpreter:
Fear leads us to shut our senses out to anything that might remotely threaten what has been built up around us. We fear our sanity, we fear our loss of identities, etc. – we may not even be conscious of this fear, but it is there to be witnessed by those observing. After all, like with the story I had about the Jehovah Witness, to where will he turn if all he has is wrong? Where would you as a Christian turn? See the issue, the J.W. believes they are as right as you and so the argument goes – but until you step back and see that each person is this staunch in their belief, and that if your belief is real its ok to let it be questioned, then any progress and hope in true conversation is lost. – If only I could explain this in a clearer fashion, but for the sake of brevity, not that my post are ever brief, I will have to move on.

Back to the robot comparison.
We are much like computers digesting info, it seems it is a rare occasion to find a human who is conscious of itself and who is able to find for themselves the meaning of free will within the confines of form. ;) – Much to be said in this for the sake of a good philosophical argument, but enough has been said to move on. – And yes the text is skipping along…try not to hold on to words to hard, that is the issue at hand, we make little idols out of words all the time, we are idolaters at the worst…

Collective identities:
What I have noticed is that people tend to group together where they feel safe.
Who will challenge you enough not to make life boring, but not step on your toes as to make the structure of your egoic identity & belief system come tumbling down? Again, we are not conscious of the ego within us, if we were, we would not be possessed by it but would make conscious choices. – Again, words are tricky as you never really capture the true essence behind them unless you hear the person speaking. But even then words are limited enough that it takes time and your own personal experience in order to understand where the other person is coming from – thus making the meaning ‘walking in anothers shoes’ actually make some sense. ;)

There are a couple of issues Im about to present, but I will tend to keep to the one as its more suitable for this post, and it is city vs. village. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I have heard many spiritual sources (rabbis, etc.) give valid reasons against city life. But I prefer to look at the whole and not just the one polar end of an issue…with any good you have the bad, etc. – as long as we have form.

Baby Earth:
I tend to look at it that earth is in the infant stage. We have the bad in both the city and village. Michio Kaku pointed out that we have a 50/50 chance of advancing to a level 1 civilization, and that this is the hardest and most dangerous stage to get to. Yes, as its the stage where we have to die to the false self or be destroyed by it with our fancy gadgets.

Knowledge does not equate wisdom. There is a difference between cleverness and intelligence. The former things of itself and can be perceived as being wise – the great businessmen and CEOs, many of which have fallen…which drives home my point…and the latter is about collaboration, etc.

the Villagers Attack:
In small cities, regardless of where you are, there is much fear. When a new ‘energy’ (idea) comes, they are slow to adapt. You have to prove yourself, but life is to short, so many places stay ages behind. This is article is not meant to argue the surface level of this hypothesis. When I speak its always at different layers, and mostly a few layers past where most people look. – Is this being arrogant? It may well sound that way, but I know many people have not the time to even consider things past the daily routine and that which they already hold as truth. This is not a problem, nor does it create a level of superiority and inferiority – only ego sees things this way.

But this small city mentality is the very mentality you find in religion, Jew, Muslim, Christian, it does not matter. Even Buddhist the ego can creep in as Eckhart Tolle pointed out. “All religions are true…silence…and eventually you too will be Buddhist.” LOL

The issue is what you make it:
Ego is not the issue, if you make fighting it an issue, then your are in the depth and control of the ego itself. (Again if false self is a better term that your comfortable with, go for it. Dont let terminology hold you back. You have the promise from Jesus himself that its ok to search with all your heart – and infact its only when you are open and honest, primarily finally being honest to yourself, that you can find. We skip over to much of the Bible just due to what our data base (mental grid system) has already been loaded and conditioned to accept. Much like a robot, we are told what to do – and we have yet eaten from the tree of knowledge of good and evil to find free will for ourselves. Though, as I pointed out, even if we did, we would not have free will as we still cast blame on that which is external to us. – The fact is that we act as robots and say, “the data put into us was logical, thus I ate, its the serpent fault!”

All Allegories:
These are all allegories, and yes, its not your conventional sunday school lesson. But in truth if your looking for practical Christian living, then we have to break out of the worldly mode. And so far we are the exact model of the world, but with Christian terms. We hold to form and duality as well as the ‘heathen’ does – we in turn are the white washed tombs that Jesus talked about. (Much to say about this as well, but at the same time, nothing can be said that you dont already know and have to find out yourself. Some weird paradoxes in there which cry out, “why do I even bother to write if I know that Im a fellow traveller, not better or lower, and that no one will listen as they have to find on their own?”

Same question was asked by Jeremiah, if I got the prophet right… ;)
“Who will listen, but its like fire shut up in my bone”.

Baby bird learning to fly:
I sit on one end of this, knowing what the initial input phase is like, and the grid mentality with the certain milieu called evangelical, zionist, fundamentalist, Christianity. To explain to someone what its like after being baptized (through life experience) you just cant do…its something someone has to choose on there own. Yet in the same token when you talk about it, its perceived as arrogant or insane. And in the slight chance that there is understanding, its because its something you are already experiencing for yourself.

Villagers just want love:
If you move to an island there is the mentality, “this is how its done, if you come here and accept us, then we will accept you.” – Fear.

See, the thing people are really saying is, “we want to be loved and know we are loved and since love is acceptance of where Im at as a person” – much like how Jesus acted with people – then those who have not experienced it need it all the more.

Now this is a challenge in and of itself for the person who wants to move forward, as if everyone is wanting love but not giving, it makes for a long ride. After all, the islander is afraid of you and wants your love/acceptance. It does not want to be seen as primitive, and no matter how backwards the logic, it will stone you in defense of your appeared forced awakening on it.

So no love is known there yet, but the seed is in the heart of all, as love made all. It wants to experience it first, and the people who first come are the light bringers, as it were – and later the love will be reflected back.

Time, its an illusion:
Some may wonder why anyone would be concerned with life extension, etc. Point is life is to short for the job we are put here to do. Yes, over generations we see the fruit through our offspring – genetics. But I would like to see it through the two eyes I have here. (though Im not against becoming a cyborg! LOL)

Im convinced that if someone came to a people, regardless of timing, that was not ready for it – technology, science, etc. – they would crucify and the ‘gods’ to the deities of their unbelief. Only by force would change happen, if one came with blazing lazer guns, etc.
(Kind of reminds me of Jesus second coming. First is gentle lamb second is full control brain scans to wash out the crap from our minds…only kidding.)

Place to rest my head:
I say this now, as I look for a place to move.
A nice island would be excellent, but from my life experience I have had enough of small villages anywhere. But then again, this will show an area, where if I take it, I can grow in…which is love/acceptance for others. Perhaps this is what Im here to learn. After all, if I have peace in the situations that I deem not the best, I can have peace anywhere. True, Im a tech geek and big city fits me better, but the issue of the big city I have not covered.

The big city is the opposite of the village now, its people trying to hide within other peoples energy, as it were, to be lost in it as not to hear themselves, as it were.

Im not saying any of these as concretes, everything I have said here are pointers.
And as far as not taking Genesis literal, I did not give a definite on that, but if we are to take Gods word literal, there are some basic commands we easily ignore why we argue the infallibility of Gods word. And yet again, was Jesus fallible for speaking in parables? Of course not…he was on target…then what would suddenly make the Bible fallible if one believed it was to a parable. (The Genesis account.) After all, its a Jewish belief Genesis is taught at 4 levels and Jesus’ parable teaching only goes to back up the theory that this is how things were taught in that culture.

Jesus’ parables:
I did want to add, that Jesus taught in parables, because again, we only learn when we discover for ourselves. Same reason a rabbi answers a question with a question. No one respects the answer, but everyone wants to find on their own… which means if you like what I wrote, its because you already got it to some degree. ;)

I dont expect any of you to change your mind about that one. Again, if I met myself 10 years ago and said what Im saying now, only God knows what I would have said. Everything I say is from my perspective built up on my own personal experiences, and arguing and debating such trivial semantics is really not the point – we get caught up in the letter and not the life of what is being said. Christianity would radically shift if enough people started understanding the basic life principles in there…the issue is that the powers of position, both in the world through influence politically, etc. as well as egoically, would be shattered.

Conclusion:
Imagine that, a lot of people actions aligning with Jesus, not in word trying to create a kingdom on earth, but in actions, creating that kingdom within. Invite Christ in the heart, interesting saying…maybe there is something to that after all.

As usual, I write this as I think it, rather fast, and so it is as it is – hope you enjoyed!

peace

So you want to be saved? (Super long bed time story) :D

April 22, 2009

Intro:
I have not posted here for awhile, so it seems. (Been posting, if at all, at Facebook)
Here is a Facebook ‘Note’ that I just published, which I will share here.

This is long, and is not meant for debate, just thoughts I laid out on ‘paper’.
(You either agree, dont agree, or dont have an opinion…all is good) :D

Sidestepping the ‘Sandbox’:
This post will take a dramatic shift in direction from my last one, “Sandbox – keep out”.
In typical fashion, as night falls and the forms around me become still – so do I. In the quietness I am left to observe the random happenings that I would otherwise ignore in the bustling heat of the day.

Also, my mind begins to wonder and to ponder, not that it does not do this constantly anyway, but in a more relaxed fluid manner which can cohesively join together the millions of random thoughts that had passed through my mind throughout the day – kind of like what happens in dream state I suppose, when your subconscious tries to work everything out…

Its at this point that I get inspired to write down some of these thoughts which have formed to make a beautiful painting on a sign pointing to something beyond thought, toward higher realms, of reality which controls this meager existence in which we take as real, and cling to so desperately as if I very identities depended on it…suppose that which is false is at loss to do anything otherwise. – Each night we sleep is like experiencing a mini death, a separation of identity with the ego or false self. (Try to keep the terms kosher across audiences, but they all point to the same thing.) :)

Stillness:
The fact is, as fast as this inspiration comes, like the wind, it settles down, and inside i realize I can never capture and bottle what it is that I have just witnessed within. Its so fragile that with but a whisper it turns into form and is subjected to the normal idolization by people that takes place once something is birthed into the world of form. This gives a whole new concept to meditate and ponder on as one contemplates about the spirit of God and its interaction and role within human existence. “within him we live and move and have our being” – that one verse holds the key to salvation, fact is, like a hologram, each piece of the Bible, holds the information of the whole and the truth can be found within…if one seeks with all their heart.

And this brings me to the Facebook ‘Note’ of the day: The essence is in the above verse: “You will find when you seek with ALL your heart”.

Seek with ALL your heart: (maybe I should just bold ‘All’?) ;)
Many of you are familiar with the fact that I have placed great emphasis on this one verse.
I see it, as yet another valid pointer to salvation – true salvation of the soul – if one would just open up to see the simplicity of what is being said, as well as the extreme challenge that it brings to us…due to the prison of the ego/false self that we have created and identified with. Its worth pointing out again, that its like being possessed and not knowing about it – after all, if one knew they were possessed then it would not be possession anymore. ;)

Fairytales and growing up:
For to long have we lurked in the shadow realm of fairy tales and by-passed the heart of everything that has been told to us. The very sense of logic and reason sometimes escapes us due to our loyalty to an idea (thought form) that was taught to us as a young child and on up in years. The mere fact that Jesus was a Jew and taught in parables, and this was with emphasis in the Bible, does no mere coincidence that Orthodox Jews also talk in parables, as it were, and believe that the Bible (specifically Genesis) is NOT literal, but taught on 4 different levels of understanding.
* Originally had typo and had 5…there are 5 levels of soul, as referred to by Paul when he said he is both here and heaven at the same time…of which Dr. Stanley said he believed but didnt know how…well that is how. ;)
**The 4 lvls of understanding are in an acronym called: PRDS…if your interested I can reference you to more info concerning this idea which is found in Orthodox Judaism.

The bottom level is the level of ‘parables’, ironically. (though the technical name is Pshat.)
Beyond that one grows in their understanding and is able to understand the complexities behind the idea. Much like Paul encouraging people to move on beyond the milk they drank. The main issue was culture, to be honest with you. If you ever throw yourself into a village where you are isolated from even a team of people that you can communicate with in your original language, then you will be able to make some clearer observations.

Language & its limits:
One observation is that with language, you cannot get an exact translation, and sometimes, it just doesnt work at all. Not only is the translation messed up, but the meaning and feel is totally left behind – some comedies you will just not get in another language, as its not relevant to what your brains grid system is used to and can relate to. This is why many comedies have different punch lines when translated. (Hey, Hungarians are known for their fabulous translation by the way…talented folks…even if they are pessimistic…more about collective pain bodies later – mabye.) :)

Fear keeps you from Wisdom:
Most people are turned off from thinking this far out of fear.
The argument is that the Bible is the exact Word of God – no one arguing it isnt. ;)
But this topic can open a can of worms that many people would be stuck on one idea and not see the ‘forest for all the trees’ – the contradictions that exist are both real and not real. ITs relative to the viewer – yes, Einsteins idea fits in here as well, to no real threat to either Atheist or Christian, yet I do not have the time or energy to go into that, in written form, at this time.

It all adds up:
Suffice it to say, the truth is not so far that, or his hand is not so short, that it cannot save. ;)
I swear, my whole life I searched and tried to make the Bible real and applicable to me. It was only when I gave up on it, and basically denounced my Christianity out of honesty of where I thought I was, that it clicked…step by step…it was like a true baptistm. All the allegories, symbols, ideologies were no longer some catchy phrase…something to strive for in some future. Salvation was not in the future, waiting for me in some glorious palace in heaven that was told to me by my mother from some old manuscript that we have to put faith in to be true. – No, life was in there, breathing and alive, and its words leaped off the pages on my heart where they have been inscribed over the years through memorization and pouring over scripture.

All roads lead to…:
Ill say, for the most part, how Im talking now, is not much different then some other bloke claiming to be Christian and who has zeal – the problem I had with sitting down to even write this was knowing that words are limited, and two people can say the same thing, but come from two different houses completely…and only through a personal experience, that only they can find, can someone say, “Yo Dalen, I hear you bro!” Althought, ironically, this can be said on many levels as we are all spread out on this path and dotting the landscape at different places. I will say at one point the dots unite – and again, not much unlike Thomas Merton, you see what Paul talked about when it says, “even nature tells of the creators glory”.

Nature being even the text of other sacred manuscripts. Yes, hard to swallow for some, but no need to – search with all of YOUR heart…not mine. My path is my own. ;)
Just search with ALL.

Which leads me to the thought of the night. (Finally. Yes I can talk…write…”but am I saying anything?…no, not really”. LOL

Here we go:

A verse that has troubled me for some time, over the past few years…(not on a personal level as someone trying to get around something, but more about the nature of the ‘God’ being portrayed in the book of Revelation.)

Here is the verse I would like to chat about: “I wish you were hot or cold, but being you are neither, I will spit you out of my mouth and you will burn in the fires of hell” (Make it nice and juicy…for those more uptight about ‘accuracy’, there is a Greek/Hebrew Bible you read fluently, go pick it up for the correct version. LOL (Only joking around.) :D
As usual, what is it saying is the point – what is the life in it? ;)

Honest with yourself:
On a basic level it seems quite obvious – especially if you were raised a proper Bible thumper like myself. You either need to ‘get on board’ or your doomed. But lets be honest, it really doesnt make much sense – and never did even in my prime days. (Take mental notes of that which you dont understand, and youll get an answer…dont worry if our answers match. If Im wrong, its my problem) :D
Dont follow me, follow that which gives light…Im just a fellow traveller myself. You can never ‘experience god’ if you follow the person who is experiencing God. ;)

Whats God up to anyway? ;)
So, basically it says that God wants you to be hot or cold…a sinner or a saint.
(Now, I will say, some may say this is only toward a Christian that God is speaking too…of which I would say this has some even more serious ramifications if you follow the theology all the way through…just go back to my post about the trio disagreement on salvation.) ;)

The fact is, that is how I took it, and it didnt add up.
Either way, its amazing how God is wanting you to either be all the way hot and on fire, or all the way cold and turned off…but dont walk that fence, or he’ll help to push you off the fence in hell. ;)
“spit you out of my mouth” – some may disagree how I initially viewed this, and that is fine…not here to convince anyone, just sharing my thoughts…but “spit you out” is pretty final I would think.

Imagine when you get something you dont like…your not recycling that stuff…its gone baby.
No one spits out with the intent to recycle it. (Im just trying to paint a clearer picture for those that may have approached this from a different angle, such as God punishing a Christian. Though that never crossed my mind till now…not as a solution, but as something someone may possibly consider. Its important for me to cover this how I did so that I can move on to my next point, hopefully having set the stage for what is about to be said.

Duality:
That is the missing link.

After some time of contemplating this a few years back, I figured that this was basically a sign of ‘control’. You see, duality is a great way to control others. The coin has two different sides, and appears to be different – but its connected by the middle/side, etc.

Fragmented Church:
Just like everything in life. Anything once it takes form is in duality. It can be no other way.
Form takes space, and space has dimension. The issue is separation, and especially the kind of separation we have seen in the church since old Luther. His good intentions, if any, are all thrown aside, when now the church is so fragmented that its pathetic. Again, basic tenants of faith are totally washed aside and no one sees the emptyness in it all thought its in front of their faces. (I repeat again, 3 of the main denominations dont even agree on who is saved. Some loose their salvation, other can only get it from predestination…with some predestined to hell…and others keep it forever. Someone is wrong my dear friend…or are they all right. I bet I got a new crowd who likes the theory of relativity now and are not crying so much about absolutes. Though there is one absolute and the church missed it by a long shot.)

More Duality:
Now backing up a bit, there is much to be said about duality.
First, go get the audio book (yes, audio book) from Eckhart Tolle called a New Earth.
Listen to it at least once all the way through. Nothing to believe in, you dont agree with something, great. (First chapter will be hardest for many Christians, especially if one goes in thinking they know what to expect, its just a launching pad which does what it does…but some can get caught up in the fire of the launch and miss the trip.) ;)

Adams fall:
So listen to that and then come away with your own conclusions about the nature of duality and what it means to you in your spiritual walk. I will briefly say that Duality, again is necessary for form, but its almost like the fall from the garden. Interestingly enough, in Orthodox Judaism, the belief is held that Adam had a body of light before he fell. And not all fell, but the head remained. (Guys, any of you catching this? Anyone can say Paul? If not, dust off your Bible… reference to those of you who are Christians, of course. Those who arent, sorry, but this is the terminologies of my milieu, and I guess Im stuck, to some degree, with the lingo & references…so hang in there with me.)

What is the point?
Remember, the ‘fall’. Adam was light, he came down and was ‘clothed’ = form.
Form, as I mentioned is duality. The tree of knowledge, etc. Catching on? It may not be that easy if this is the first time hearing it this way. The only Christians really walking the line of lingo I just used are the Charismatics, yet – I say this very humbly as not to offend anyone of my friends who are charismatics – they are dancing many issues backwards, as it were. (In fairness Im quite familiar with every basic denomination, and have spent a good deal of time in most of them… including the Mennonites. I only say this so that people realize that its from experience and not from an outside view who never ‘walked a mile in your shoe’…at least as far as basic tenants of a given denominations beliefs are. (I feel like Eckhart now…”words are so limited…sometimes I feel like I need to just shut up.” – pause – “well I say a few more things” – laughter – :D

Evolution of the species? ;)
So we have the issue of duality, and basically if you think about the idea of evolution of a species…again, ponder it – not asking for any changed beliefs – the eating of the tree was one natural step in the progress of what was to take shape in this universe. (Again, God knew what would happen…and let it happens…a reason for everything. “Every snow flake falls where its supposed to” – some zen teaching.)

In this time of learning, however, it had its growing pains. One is the identification with ego/form and the creation of “mine” – “yours”, etc. And not seeing the whole. (This is really important, but I have given you reference as this is getting long as it is and I wish to move on.) :D

After all that talk, I will simply say, that it appeared that the passage in Revelation was not all to pleased with anyone who broke passed the identification with form. (Yes call me a heathen for even thinking that God was being evil) ;)

Evil God, nah…cool God. :)
But it turns out that this verse, is not much unlike the one I started with:
“When you seek with ALL your heart, you will find. The key? Again, ‘All’.
Yes, I know this is painstakingly tedious, but once you get it…really get it…you see where Im coming from and the liberation it brings.

What is the issue? The issue is fear.
Ever notice how many times the Bible, Jesus, Paul, mother mary (just kidding, but who knows) says, “fear not”. “do not worry”. “do not judge or remember wrong”, etc. “fear not”…”fear not”. Yeah, the Bible is like a broken record. I actually used to have one of those bible promise books with the large sections on “do not fear”. Yet what happens? We fear!!! LOL! We are a crazy lot no doubt! :D

We fear because of our identification with form. (And yes, form includes thought – thought form.) Our identification with the dogma that we believe is who we are in Christ, when Jesus had no dogma…no religion. (He wasnt ‘Jewish’, per say, nor ‘Christian’. He had much to say on who he was in relation to us and the father…and it was about unity.) ;

Our rigid and unrelenting egos will not free us to actually obey the very word which we say is from God…and how much more important that it was not said once, but twice…yay, even thrice. ;)

Yes, Im playing around with words, having fun…all light – perhaps it would come across better in an audio clip…maybe not. People will understand what Im saying through their pre-adjusted grid system anyway.

Concluding Remarks:
I have talked this long and now I will conclude.

Quite simply, God would rather you be whatever you are.
Are you a Christian lost in this troubled world of doctrines? Then be lost…and be as lost as you can. What I mean is, Dont Pretend.

Authenticity…or out you go! ;)
We Christians are the best pretenders that we dont even see. Much like when I witnessed to the dude on the street at Bible college, and it was so good, at the end I wanted to be saved! I didnt have the peace inside! We are afraid to be honest. Yet if being honest is part of our dogma…then we say, ‘Im honest’. (Bullshit…sorry if that offended some…dont worry, all is well – lesson in authenticity, no need for you to pick it up, as it may not be authentic for you.)

oops, here comes the fear:
I see, or can sense, the fear swelling immediately: “but that gives a license to sin”.
Well, Ill tell you what…you better have one, or Ill spit you out of my mouth myself! LOL!
We have these automatic filters and we are not even used to seeing whats going on in our own minds! Let alone see the hypocrisy that lies within…no wonder we get uptight around others who dont fit into how we see things… we can barely hold onto the fake identities we have for ourselves…though, we all will admit, misery loves company. There is nothing like having others who agree with ones ’story’ and that helps make you right and the other wrong.

God not as stressed about it as you are:
Nah, I truly believe that God wants you and me to be real, open, honest.
Call it license to sin, or whatever – but the fact is, “oh Adam & Eve” from where can you hide from the eyes of God? Can you cover your own ’sins’. (missing the mark, as it is translated from greek.) Can you pretend one thing while your heart seeks another? “If you do it in thought, then you do it as if in action” – Jesus reference to sin.

But you know…NO ONE cares about that last verse. You know why? The ego and you know that its impossible to live up to. Come on, at least my thoughts…you say…”I cant control those”. Its not about control…thats the point. Notice how Jesus hung around those who didnt have much ‘control’ over their situations…those that were in ”control’ didnt find much use in Jesus. Ill tell you why: No new funding for a new church. No new position of power. Im not making this stuff up, “they loved the praise of man rather than that of God”. In short term, “they sold their soul to the devil” – not literally, but you get what I mean. (Or not) :)

It takes consciousness, as described by Tolle, to really see what your doing. We are so good at lieing and looking for salvation in something, someone esle, in the future, etc., that we forgot how to just “be”. “Be still and know that ‘I am God’” – Jesus said we are one with him and one with God. Now this is a bit much for here, but suffice it to say when the puzzle goes together, it clicks – and you know cause your no longer trying to shove those pieces into one another to make it work! LOL! (not saying life is a breeze, but it takes on a whole new ‘form’)

Hot or Cold
“Be either hot or cold” = “be authentic and honest where your at” – “or Ill spit you out”.
Why? Out of hate? No…who can work with anyone, or how can anyone grow if they are lukewarm, (despite the outside zeal), in the fact that they are trying to present what they ‘think’ they should present, vs. what is.

Part of me has been ‘lucky’ in that I pretty much have been ‘honest’ (straight forward) my whole life. The bit of pretending was to much. Before you take this as boasting, let me say, its not easy – and here is what I mean.

You remember the prophet who said, “Its like fire shut up in my bones – they want to kill me, they wont listen to me, but I got to say it anyway”. Yeah, some may find this nice and cool when reading it…but to live that is different. To know how it feels, well, no wonder many dont take it. The fact is, being straight means that you are quite often misunderstood – even by those close to you.

Why? Just due to the nature of communication and the limitation with words to begin with.
Not enough emphasis can be put on the fact that we all perceive things differently, sometimes vastly, depending on our lives experience…and thus misunderstanding comes easily, and with it, fear…and judgement.

We judge others because we judge ourselves. “Judge not, lest you be judged” takes on a clear meaning. Its not only about not judging…but implies that we judge because we judge ourselves. You look and youll see it. ;)

It means being a loner, for the most part, and/or not talking as much. Some people are more reserved in their speech. The only way for communication is through love.

Love:
Love is acceptance, and I know this will give fundamental Christians a time.
“I have to accept their sin”. To which I say, “Isnt it time to chill out” LOL. (I mean, they dont have to…I accept that.) :D

But truly, drop the fear, and you automatically love – as you accept what is.
Acceptance does not imply that you cannot make change on your own…on the contrary, make it if you can. If not, complaining wont help. As for others, its their life, what do we know about what they need at any given time? Gods blessings rain on the good and the bad. ;)

When we accept one another, without the expectation of ‘converting another’… (again, a reference to my blog, “twice the son of hell” – which could use expounding upon…but perhaps you can do that yourself.) :D
…but again, no expectations, and not labels, (reference Tolle again for this), no identifying that person with ‘form’ (thought or not) then they can get free. (I have talked about this a lot in various places of how God never saw a prostitute, he saw a person…and the change came by Jesus ability to drop the need to add an egoic label to a person…they are not what they do…this is opposite of what many of us are taught. Again, the teachings we have are from the ego…religion taken, the symbols, and distorted by the ego…children, not drinking milk, but spraying it on each other. ;)

With that, I’ll end. If any of this made sense, great…as usual, I typically do not go back and proof-read…

Peace

Industry of Death: 42K+ Die Yearly…

January 10, 2009

update:
Even recently, one of the leading causes of death – actually #3 – was medical treatment.
Go figure… ;) Time to Educate, not legislate…

Intro:
You feeling depressed? Here is a pill…
You feeling nervous? Here is a pill…
You feeling happy? (cant have that), here is a pill…

A pill for everything, and none of it works! My personal story with O.C.D. – Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

“Know Thyself!” Is the Solution…
Anything beyond that will not bring freedom, but dependence.
How do you go about ‘knowing yourself?”
Try listening to the audio book by Eckhart Tolle – A New Earth.
(A great start…nothing to believe, but a down to earth guide to why we tick how we do – and best of all – how to consciously make a change.)

Making a Killing: The Psychotropic Drug Scam
Check out the below videos -
#1) This video does not really show a person, who is depended upon Psychotropic Drugs, how to go beyond them – it merely is showing that they are not the solution.

The key lies to the understanding of why we are in the mess to begin with, so we can see how to get out. (Again, I reference you to the above link if this is what you are looking for.)

Without further ado, the videos:

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

Part 4:

Part 5:

Part 6: Big Money – well… not for you -

Part 7: Targeting the Children – and you

Part 8: Side Effects

Part 9: Death Awaits You

Part 10: You are What you Eat – Misdiagnosis

Conclusion:
Makes you wonder why they are making nature illegal doesnt it. ;)

…of course, doesnt anyone see the irony in that?
It could never be so – only an illusion to those that take for granted what is told to them from an outside source. – we are all connected to the same power source that created everything.

Time to reclaim your power back…no? The choice is yours – and always has been…only you can walk through the door ‘Neo’, I can only point to it. ;)

Peace

dAlen

p.s.
So often we get lost in pointers – the videos are a pointer.
You want to solve the problem? It wont be through conflict, but of an understanding of why you are where you are and from there you can have the tool to get out.
Again, take a look at the audio book, “A New Earth”.

Personally, I recommend Audio books as so much is lost from the intent of the author in words alone. (For me, I prefer the CDs to the lowly compressed audio in iTunes.) ;)

J.H. University: Magic Mushrooms – Long Term Positive Effect

January 3, 2009

A study at Johns Hopkins University shows that Magic Mushrooms have a positive long term effect.

Associated Press @ MSNBC Article:
USA Todays Report:
New Scientist Report:
L.A. Times Article:
CBS News

Many who have kept up with the studies in the medical/science community, over the past decade, will know the positive benefits of various natural ’substances’ which society has been conditioned to believe is ‘bad’. (i.e. THC, or ‘pot’)

Quite an irony really, and the reasons for this are numerous.
But suffice it to say, the American public typically does not spend their time reading science/medical journals. – And only now, has the mainstream news started to report more openly about the positive findings, from these studies, which are controversial to the masses built up belief system.

Below is a clip from CNN, posted on You Tube which discusses this topic as well.

The dangers one must realize about a topic like this, is simply this:
Its the danger of hiding ones head in the sand and not discussing such issues.
The lack of education is what has caused much of the problems in the past, and will continue to cause problems in the future… if this is not properly addressed.

As with anything, there is a time and a place for it.
Currently, outside of the conditions set up in this news story, it is illegal in the U.S., and other countries as well.

For now, this helps to protect those who would unwisely use them.
But, this is a short term solution, which does not really work.
Education NOT legislation is a must. – After all, see the irony in making mother nature illegal? But then again, we are illegal to…as our bodies create D.M.T. which is illegal, it would seem, in parts of the world…so much for that

Its good to see that this education process is starting to take place in the mainstream…An introduction, but good to see.

Take care, and enjoy the news clip. :)

Peace
