Bye! And thanks for Visiting, hope you enjoyed!

June 2, 2009

Intro:
I started this blog awhile back with a few objectives in mind, and I feel that I have accomplished what I set out to do. I have learned quite a bit from the site stats of who comes here to read, as well as the comments that were left, to what was viewed.

Reflection:
Part of this journey was that of self-exploration during a time of one of the biggest ’spiritual’ transitions of my life…one that left a true, lasting, positive effect on me. While this journey started in childhood, it did not begin to kick off and bear fruit until the age of 22. My wife has been both a partner and a catalyst in many regards to where I now find myself…to whom I am forever grateful.

Communication:
Another part of my objective here at WordPress was to learn how to communicate effectively my ideas across a range of cultural/religious milieus…what I have seen and learned in this regard is most telling to be sure. Suffice it to say, watch Oprahs interviews with Eckhart and listen to a man who is a master of this – yet hear how misunderstood he is by those who ask questions. [yet he remains patient in all of this.] Great lessons to be learned in this, but its something you will have to find yourself…the journey is yours – its unique, so enjoy!

Nothing left to say
I spent most of my time blogging in one set time frame, and from there it dropped off.
The fact is I have nothing more to say than what has been said here already. Pointers hitting left and right, and for the creative mind it can help launch them into even deeper speculation. Much of what I say has a lot more weight than words can say upfront, again I leave it for you to do as you wish and see how it fits within your own perspective…what I say and what you interpret it to mean may be two different things. [does this mean we do not agree, alas sometimes both messages can be true...after all there is an absolute truth, and from that its a matter of vantage point and a play in the world of duality and form.]

My blogs were never edited, per say, for the sake of clairty – which even the above will show…but this to has its purpose, even if it is to help people to stretch their minds as to think for itself vs. always being spoon fed answers that then are automatically conformed to their conditioned perspective on life. :)

dAlen Book:
With nothing left to say, I suppose I have enough material for a book. Of course the dilemma is two fold… primarily the tedious job of editing it. If I send it out, I would be weary of how well it keeps the original spontaneity as well as heart of the message. If I do it myself, then we can wait a few life times I suppose. :) [not that anyone is missing anything of importance, as everything I say you either know, or will know if you do the least bit of searching for yourself as to the meaning of life and how it works.]

The other factor is the audience, this blog can be formated in various ways and it occurs to me the best way is to make two different style books from it, which would well fit different venues. [and you just read of my dread above to even editing it once. lol]

Either way, book or no book is not the point…if it is to be done, it will be in its own timing when such inspiration hits – and the time is right. [suppose all books start of like this... a pile of papers you go through, no one who sits down and writes from the beginning ever finishes...you have to write from the heart, as it comes, to keep what life there is in there and then it all comes together at the end.] :)

Conclusion:
If you have enjoyed this blog, I do encourage you to pass on the link to others, let them have a look at it. I have enjoyed every minute that I spent blogging, I suppose overall it was an outlet for my own soul. An online journal of sorts…albeit with a twist in the language to be mindful of how people interpreted what I said as each person uniquely understands what it is set before them.

With this, i say goodbye to you all.
The blog may or may not receive updates, but it will be in a different nature than before – and perhaps under a new name as I try to relaunch my wife and my site in the future. A lot of this may be incorporated there, and anything posted here will not be as much on a personal nature/spiritual, but along the lines of some of my interest as it regards future technology and humanity.

Peace

dAlen

p.s.
A list of people who either have greatly influenced me, and/or I feel they have had something to contribute to the world which I believe would help others if they caught on to some of the ideas.

- my wife
[for me personally]

- Eckhart Tolles audio books
[you want to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, then a quick pick me up from a self help book aint gonna change anything...you have to rewire those negative thought patterns, etc. - for me it was listening to his audio books for some years actually. This helped to set the focus and keep the focus in the day when we 'forget the self help bit' and our actions show we have forgotten it. To this day I still hear his message at different levels as certain levels crystalize with me. [of note, this was the pointer that worked for me, for others it may be something else.]

- Jesus/Paul
[some may be offended I put this second to Eckhart, but truth is had I never ran into Eckhart I would not have finally had the "ah ha" moment to see past the dogma that had been forced upon me by the church while growing up. Now things Jesus and Paul and the OT says makes crystalline & most of all practical sense.]

- Krishnamurti
[listen to Eckhart, same thing. Though its interesting to know there are more than 1 or two people that get this.]

- Rabbi Tzadok from Kosher Torah
[he greatly helped me to get a better understanding of Jewish beliefs which helped my understanding of Christianity as a whole. No...not what he says about Christianity, he is very biased there...and even his message seems to be obscure, if not contradictory at times...reasons for this I wont go in here, none-the-less his material on Jewish mysticism & torah were a great help.
And while I realize many people have an issue with mysticism, what can I say...go read some of my old blogs about what i have to say concerning this...at least they are trying to experience God...as well as many people are living in a mythos of what they think mysticism is - thats a point again where it shows perspective rules at the end...its all how you take it, so mileage may very.
]

- Pastor Bob Beeman
[I have a great appreciation for my friend who keeps it real in his own search and is authentic in what he believes.]

Thomas Merton & Heneri Nouwen
[Again this is within the framework of "Christian lingo" - but these guys were about experiencing God... and were a great pointer to launch me further along my path - out of my fear and into further "searching with ALL my heart" - With Merton I recommend his book "New Seeds of Contemplation, and I can thank a friend who is 'eastern orthodox' for the pointer of Henri Nowen as well as for a small excerpt on what 'hell' is in a document called the River of fire which I have blogged about here.]

Rebbe Yakov Leib HaKohain
[Dude you rock, but you will be greatly misunderstood...and I know you don't give a "sh-t"! lol
- and you wont mind be uncensored saying so as you try to blow up the boundaries made by religious dogma.
] :)

Carl Jung
[mostly am familiar with his works through Rebbe HaKohain & Rabbi Tzadok.]

Kabbalah Center
[While I may not see eye to eye with some of the pointers used, I appreciate the effort they have put to erase the lines of dogma in the sand between religions/races, and other conceptual and egoic barriers. - This is really what is more important, more so than trying to find the differences...
Also, I thank them for the scholarship I received from them where I received over what I believe was $400 worth of material, and the shipping was about the same due to the weight of the Zohar volumes.]

Neturei Karta
[Jews for Palestinians - sounds like going past the ego to me. - This link takes you to the site, but actually steps back in time and has 10 questions asked by Rabbi Michael Dov Weissmandl... interesting read - open your minds.] ;)

- Michio Kaku
[thanks to seeing that there is a scientist who can communicate great concepts to the masses who would not otherwise get it. Also the fact that he wasnt like Dr. Teller fascinated with 'who gets the bomb first' mentality. As M. Kaku puts it, we have a 50/50 chance of getting to a level 1 society, level 0 being the most dangerous. [with all of our self judgement and judgement to others, he has a point...]

- Aubrey deGrey
[life extension technologies...science - is it playing God? This is a good topic for a blog. lol]

- Ray Kurzweil
[Transhumanist, I use the label loosely like a piece of garment as a pointer, anyway - I like what Im seeing from his vision of the future...mind you, if we dont address the root issue of humanity, the ego, we will blow ourselves up with technology and go extinct.]

- Richard Alpert
[Professor & LSD man, no I have not taken LSD. The guy here has some great insight that we should all ponder... We need to rethink as well the roles societies place on people as well as what law means. [laws are put in place to protect us from ourselves, and are a reflection of where we are at as a society. My view on drugs is somewhat complex at this point...and would take a book of its own to even address - but Im sure it would be similar to Richard Alpert and...]

- Terence Mckenna
[who in the world can say nature is illegal? You have an illegal substance naturally occurring in your body...DMT. Guess that makes us illegal. The funny thing is, governments do treat us that way, as if we are illegal. - but the government is not the issue, they only mirror our unconsciousness. - As old solomon said, there is a time and place for everything under heaven.]

- Zeitgeist movement
[i like the concept, but already it has the issues that Jesus' follower had...misunderstanding the point. The agnostics of the movement have to give space to everyone to be as they are and believe as they wish. As long as it does not cross my path, its of no concern to me. [fear dictates otherwise, but we see, fear puts guns in young mens hands to go kill each other off...while the leaders stay safe in a bunker somewhere under the ground.]

- TED – “Ideas Worth Spreading”
Excellent site, there slogan says it all.

- Thoughtware.tv
Similar to the above…

Last but not least, just check out my blogroll here for more cool links. :)

Who am ‘I’? :)
[read my about page for that] ;)
So, who and what am I? For those who use labels to identify themselves with, I will be the outcast.
I can wear the Christian garb, for at the heart I would say most Christians are not the heart of what being a Christian is…they see, but do not see, hear but do not hear, as Jesus put it. [offended? why is that? is it the “little me” your ego? Truth needs no defense. ;)

I could say transhumanist… but again, all these are just words and do not define who I am.

I tell you who I am, and Ill credit the greatest thinker of all – God.
“I am that I am.” ;)

With that, enough said! – Peace!
