Patriotism - humbug

May 17, 2007

Patriotism seems to be the issue with the world.

“Im this…”
“Oh, are you? Well Im, such and such”

“Well nice to know who you are now.”

We are so much more than a label, more than a nation, more than a religion.
This divides, separates, helps create an “identity” of “me” and this is “yours”…as if this makes any true difference. Not sure the worms really care what you are once you are 6ft under if you catch my drift. Or, if you are a Christian, or what not, Im sure God aint going to ask if you were American or Chinese.

I have seen it everywhere. I have lived in about 7 states - (Im from the south, Im from the north) I have lived in about 7 countries….I currently live in Hungary.

It seems that the more you travel, the more open your mind becomes and you realize all this doesn’t matter. The worst are the small towns where people lived their whole life and think they know that the world spins around them. (I have seen this in American and here where I live in Hungary.)

We are a prideful lot of ‘ants’ in this ever expanding (contracting if thats your belief) universe.

If Im not “something” other than what I am “now” (which is the only moment there ever is…anything else is a thought form of a past moment or anticipation for another present moment…and even then a bad translation, as its seen through the eyes of your experience then.), so again, this needing to ‘belong’ have an ‘identity’ separates.

We cry for peace, and we have war.
Well of course…as long as your life is based on external ’stories’ about yourself…this will happen.

Im Christian, therefore I cannot rest until everyone thinks as I do (insert any religion here). I am American and democracy is the only way, or communism is the only way.

They are all the same…they have leaders which represent the mass consciousness of that society.

Israel wasn’t meant to have a king (I know the Jewish argument of that, but at this point I will continue down the path of thought I have chosen)…what does this mean? It means that we know what to do…

“do what you will” just know that what you do will come back to you, as you are from the same “source”/”God” that all things in existence comes from.

What you see in someone else that you do not like is a reflection of something in you that you do not like.

The world has peace, when you have peace with yourself…and acceptance…for yourself as you are and others, without trying to “change things”

For Christians, its the example Jesus showed of not trying to change people…but accepting them. (and that means truly, not, ‘I accept you cause I know you will stop prostitution’. Jesus never saw the prostitute, as that is a ’story’ of a person. Remember we live only in one moment…the present. Anything else is a story which can be a ‘cage’.)

Back to the patriotic thing.
Here in Hungary its the “patriotic sorrow”
What a ’story’. After all, they were beaten by the Turks, Austrians, Germans, Americans, Russians, who did I leave out. There was a ‘golden age once”, etc.

There identity is that with “patriotic sorrow” and they will be proud to tell you so.

What a “sh****” story folks. But dude, ego will take anything…sometimes the sorrowful story is more fulfilling. Dont worry, no one will take your sorrow from you.

So, consider this. Dump the “I am this, you are that” - you will find that things work out quite nicely.

Evil Eye

May 17, 2007

Did you know that 99% of the people die from the evil eye?
Where does that leave the other 1%? (Accidents?)

And what’s more, who are those other 1%, can I meet you? Are you guys the illuminated ones? lol
Guess they are, to some degree if they make the top 1% that only die from accidental causes.

But then it begs to question, can an immortal die?

Half of you, or more, will scratch your head pondering just what the heck Im babbling on about.

In Judaism, ah, I said it…(Im sure some will say opposite, for various reasons), you have the concept of the Evil Eye.

This sounds like good ol’ superstition and wives tales of some kabbalistic (satanic, some Christians would say) cult. (But for the Christians, do look in the old testament, there was a literal “school of the prophets”, which signifies organized learning of prophesy, not God hitting someone on the head with a lightning bolt to prophesy - which, by the way most Christians believe, you would think the latter were the case.)

And Kabbalah, is an “off-shoot” of this, for better or worse - you have your pick.

Anyway, I so happen to think that this concept of Evil Eye is worth taking note of.
After all where does most sickness come from? Well the root is FEAR.

Fear creates stress, and we have stress because of what we think of others and what others think about us. Thoughts are powerful, so Jesus taught, anyway.
So powerful that the “leader” of the Christian movement said they are as bad as the physical sin themselves. (Though many Christians believe this, they don’t believe it on a root level, as they don’t really understand the true implications of what this means.)

In quantum physics, we are entangled. You and me, we are one…
“Father”, Jesus said, “Let them be one as we are one”. (yes, I know, you say the concepts are not connected…but flow with it for now - remember we are all connected. lol

So if we are connected, then it goes to show that indeed thoughts are powerful.
After all, you have been afraid of what others think of you. It influenced your dress, your friends, and even who you date, perhaps. It may not be that outright obvious that many of the choices that we make, come from fear of peoples thoughts…but it does.

This creates stress and dis-ease in the body, which eventually kills you off.

You must block the evil eye.
“Be in the world, yet not part of it.”

These teachings are very esoterical, yet are more practical than you can imagine.

The Occult or secret teachings were guarded such, as to keep the “swine from trampling the pearls under their feet”.

Lets face it. We are all on the same planet together, yet we really know little about what’s goin’ on.
Heck, we don’t even know ourselves…and it frightens us. So of course something that seems “hidden” and secret appears dangerous and will be misunderstood.

Misunderstood, as we are fragile creatures…full of pride, oh yes. “Pride comes before a fall”, but fragile indeed.

Our neuron-network built up from childhood, into adulthood, from our perceptions of things and events that took place around us.

For the most part, we really all have a limited view on life in general.
A view from that of our universe…our own neuron-network, (mentioned above), which is largely limited to ones own experiences.

So, a change in the way of thinking, especially one that is now being written about in my blog, “death of religion”, where I detail my journey out of religion…without throwing out the Bible…is huge! It a drastic change, and not one that happens often.

But, here I am, I am sharing with the wold what I have and from my experiences.

Is like Jeremiah said, “Its like fire shut up in my bones, I don’t want to say anything to the people cause they just don’t get it - because they are closed, yet I have to say it anyway!”

“Ah, he has visions of grandeur”, you may say. “What can he teach me”.
Nothing…
my blog, “don’t read this” and “how to deal with idiocy” shows that. lol

But I do have me to share, and share I have and am.
Its as the Christians say, “no one can take your testimony…its yours”, and right as rain they are.

On with the evil eye.

Simply put…negativity. Its that simple.
We judge ourselves, first and foremost, and then unleash hell upon others.

i used to say, “What would happen if the end of governments across the globe…would that bring the end of wars?” NO!!! The governments are actually protecting us, as its created by the mass consciousness of the people, as its where they are. Take away what the people need, and there would be chaos, worse than the atrocities happening now.

Point is, earth is a planet to learn on…for sure.
No change externally is going to help us. That change has to, and can only come from within.
That is where the true power is, and has always laid, and waits to be awaken.

This power is to do as Jesus said, “Judge not lest you be judged”
Basically, “Judge not”. We humans are too keen on doing this, and have excuses to try and validate our righteous rantings and tortures…

…but you are creating evil eye…negativity, and you not only destroy those around you, but yourself.

How to protect against the evil eye?
Acceptance. Accept what is. You are only now.
Past and Future are ALWAYS mind forms…

“Im trying to be present, but can’t stay present”…you ARE present…thats all there is.

Accept others by accepting yourself. Then you will rid the Evil Eye.

Will this, alone, rid the damages created to our aging bodies to make us part of the 1% immortals?
Lets just say, it wont hurt!

Until next time

peace

- note to those that made it to the end.
After re-reading this, it is amazing, and no wonder why so much miscommunication happens.
Sometimes sentences, can be read in a totally different way, to make it mean something different.
(And thats on-top of having things that can be taken out of context from what the author meant.)

For me, I find verbal communication more efficient, as you hear my tone, and at least it solves part of the problem in communication.

But as long as there are words, Im sure miscommunication will abound.

None-the-less, the information that needs to be gained from something, will be gained.
And sometimes not in the way the author intended, it can actually come from someone’s misunderstanding, (that is a new insight), that someone moves along.

Poverty Mentality

May 16, 2007

For many Christians the title, “Poverty Mentality” sounds like its coming from a charismatic - those delusional creatures - or so they say - who believe in the “name-it-and-claim-it” mentality.
(Yes, many might be delusional. It is just my opinion that most charismatics have, like others, the ‘keys’ - but are a bit misguided in their perception of what the keys are for.)

My mother-in-law won a jaguar. - not the cat, though this thing can pur. ;-)
But wait…there is more.

This is her second car that she has won, with her company, Brokernet.
I kid you not, she has won 2 cars, unbelievable isnt it? Or is it?

I remember clearly, about 3 years ago, when she was excited and said, “You can win a jag…”
Well she came away with an Opel and we were all excited.

Come away, 3 years later, she is the envy of her boss, co-workers, and family with her shiny new jaguar. I have to admit, for a few minutes, I was envious, or angry…mostly stemming from ’stories’ from the time my family and I lived with her for a year and experienced ‘hell’ on earth.

But that passed rather quickly, and I was genuinely able to be happy for her.
Now I watched as her boss actually tried to convince her not to take the car, but to trade it for a 1 year old, used bmw. It appears he wanted the car for himself if she were to get rid of it - after all, Brokernet had purchased the car, and Im sure he had ideas of how to get his ‘grubby’ little hands on it.

Even my brother-in-law was wanting her to trade it.
Though I think he thought she could get a cheaper car and some cash to give to him.
- Yes, you will have to get past all this silly ‘childish’ ’stories’ being relayed here. :-)

note: for most you may not catch where I am coming from when I say stories.
But in effect any human ‘drama’ is a ’story’ that we tend to take serious.

Back on track, it is becoming clearer why we ‘lack’.
Its all about the lack of understanding we have and to put it more clearly - the lack of a helpful perspective on life’s issues.

See, everything we see is from - you guessed it - a perspective.

- just got a responce from a friend in the states concerning this very thing I am writing now - and they have a great perspective on this whole issue, which basically lines up with how I look at it…

When a person realizes that objects are indeed ‘temporal’ and fade away, as Jesus puts it…we stop trying to put our ‘identity’ into them, and thus stop seeking to be something in the eyes of the world though things that will eventually fade away.

We get our “strength” from the source ‘within’ us.
The words of Shakespeare become true for us: “The world is but a stage and I an actor…one day my part will end…” Point is that we take things way to serious.

As the Bible says, we are all connected - i.e. “Body of Christ”
“all things that came into existence came through him”, etc.

So when we express distrust, hatred, etc. to our neighbor, we do so to ourselves.
We are like mirrors. The thing we hate in someone esle, we hate in ourselves.

In the case of a ‘winning’ it shows that we misplace who we are in an object, and reveals that we think of ourselves as small. If you are ‘poor’ within, you are ‘poor without’

you cannot give what you do not have.
If you do not have, give what you can, and it will come.
(Think of the parable of the man who hid the money and did not gain anything.)

Its pretty much a universal law that if you are poor within you will be poor without, as you cannot give what you do not have. - but you do have the source of everything in you. So begin to ‘give’ and you will get.

Now in truth, this could be put in a more simplified way, and has. But I suppose this will do for now, and you will take from it what you need at the time.

My apologies that this was rushed through…it may not read well at points, but I hope the spirit of what was said comes through.

Blessings to all

Peace

The negation of the ego

May 6, 2007

You know it is quite interesting - life that is.

I have been blogging for months now, at various blog sites,
posting my musings on random topics.

What does all of this mean? What does it all boil down to?

Reality is that it can be summed up in the words of a famous zen master who said,
“Is that so?”

Nothing really matters - at least not in the sense in which most things that we take so seriously seem to matter. The whole concept of spiritual advancement and helping others on their spiritual journey is quite humorous to say the least.

Why is that?
Why is it that so many of our actions and words seem, and are, ultimately futile?
The reason being is that we are individuals ‘cut out from God himself’,
if you will allow me to use that expression, and we must find and walk our own path.
“In Him we live, and move, and have our being.”

Otherwise, it becomes a game of the egos.

Some people have done a nice job at constructing a beautiful egoical structure for the world to see. They become pillars, or examples for the rest of the world to follow.
(Instead of looking inwards, egos follow bigger egos.)
Reminds me of one of Steve Taylors songs that said, “You wanna know humility, look at me, I got it!.” Yes, it sounds funny, but truth is many of us are like that to some degree. - I will go into that more later.

But know this, a person who invest in ’self’, or an identity based on ‘form’, will fight vehemently to prevent their structure from falling down. - caveat, many of us have such structures if we will only be willing to look close enough. (The grace and love is their to do such from God…but we often dont take it.)

Why?

Because with one gentle push…one soft breeze of ‘truth’ your whole sense of ‘identity’ will come tumbling down. As much as this may seem desirable from an intellectual stand, as its the end of the false self…and now ‘Christ’ can live within…in reality, the ego is, as mentioned later, an ‘entity’ of its own - looking to survive.

It does not take much for this structure to come down.
Therefore do not be surprised when you or someone else seems to ‘contradict themselves…it is merely the ‘ego’/'false self’ seeking to survive the only way it can…by hiding its head in the sand and not looking at whats around it.

In essence it is easy to become the very pharisees that we were so sure we would never have been in Jesus’ time.
The pharisees turn out to not be so ‘evil’ as many Christians tend to think.
They were only living in ‘fear’ and trying to protect themselves, as they felt that the diminishment of the ego/false self, would be the end of them.

This way of ‘thinking’ is very prevalent in the mass consciousness of the ‘church’ today.

What is this that I am speaking of exactly?

Think of it this way.
When you live by what you ‘think’ you should be,
or by what you ‘think’ you should do, in essence you then put up a ’stumbling block’ for yourself, that you must then guard against - and even defeat it despite the truth that may lie within.

Your thought becomes an idol.
I dont expect you to grasp this in first reading, thought the essence is there.
You may need to re-read parts of it to get a better grasp how this fits together.
Somehow, I feel that deep inside of us, this truth is already there, and will ring-a-bell regardless of how well written this is. (In the worlds view, this is not something you will find on the ‘best sellers list…at least in current form.)

But back to the topic, any ‘truth’ that does not agree with your belief system will threaten the ‘lego’ type structure that your mind has so carefully constructed.
If this structure comes down, who would you be in the eyes of the world?
(Its pious to say you dont care…but if you look carefully there is more concern for what others think then what you would openly like to admit.)
Also, who would you be in your own eyes - or in the eyes of ‘God’ - as you may say?

The truth is that for many people, their security lies with what the ego/mind has built.
Their security lies with form identity to put it simply. And form is…you guessed it…temporal. (Thought is included here as ‘form’…this last statement is very crucial and it is this that I should have probably spent more time writing about.)

They do not embrace the ‘formless’ - or the one God without form - as this may spell the end to the ‘ego’…the entity temporarily possessing them, pretending to be who they are. (Which is ‘oneness’ with God himself)

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed.

Peace
